Solomon receives local and state endorsements

Suzan Solomon, candidate for the William S. Hart Union High School District board, has received the support and endorsements from State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jack O'Connell, the Hart District Teachers Association, the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and Carl Goldman, owner of KHTS-AM 1220.

Solomon, a Newhall School District board member, has been previously endorsed by California State Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, Hart district board members Pat Hanrion and Steve Sturgeon, former Hart district Superintendent Bob Lee, Newhall School District Superintendent Marc Winger, Santa Clarita City Council members Bob Kellar and Marsha McLean, Saugus Union School District board members Judy Umeck, Rose Diaz, Rose Koscielny and Doug Bryce, Newhall School District board members Mike McGrath and Steve Tannehill, Sulphur Springs School District board members Kerry Clegg and Shelley Weinstein, and Castaic Union School District board member Angela Marler.

With three seats open in the Nov. 3 election, Solomon is going against incumbent Paul Strickland, Bob Jensen, Linda Valdes and Joe Messina.
