Congressman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon has endorsed Bob Jensen for a seat on the William S. Hart Union High School District board in the Nov. 3 election.

Congressman McKeon is the former Chairman of the House Committee on Education, and he co-authored the No Child Left Behind Act. He also served on the Hart school board from 1978-1987.

Jensen, a Newhall School District board member, has previously been endorsed by California State Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, Hart school board member Pat Hanrion, former Hart district Superintendent Bob Lee, Santa Clarita Councilman Bob Kellar, Saugus school board member Judy Umeck, Castaic school board member Dave Huffaker, and Superintendent Marc Winger of the Newhall School District.

With three seats open on the Hart board, Jensen is going up against Suzan Solomon, incumbent Paul Strickland, Linda Valdes and Joe Messina.
