In addition to a graphic memorializing a dead friend, Joseph Milhoan's motorcycle helmet was also emblazoned with a sticker reading: "Capable of evading high speed pursuit."

That apparently wasn't the case Tuesday.

Milhoan, 21, was arrested after allegedly evading peace officers on his motorcycle for the last 18 months, according to a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's report.

The tide turned this week when a deputy reportedly recalled seeing a 2006 Honda CBR motorcycle matching the description parked on Begonias Lane in Canyon Country.

The Canyon Country resident was booked on felony charges of reckless evading with willful disregard for public safety, and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer; and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license.

He was also on probation for reckless driving at the time of the arrest. He is being held in lieu of $125,000 bail.

According to the report, on Nov. 15, 2006, Milhoan is suspected of dragging a deputy two feet when the deputy grabbed the motorcyclist's arm in an attempt to stop him from fleeing during a traffic stop.

Milhoan is suspected of then turning his motorcycle around and driving toward the deputy, grazing the deputy with the motorcycle, then speeding away.
