The bride-elect is the sister of Jenny Bretthauer of Saugus and the granddaughter of James and Geraldine Bretthauer of Saugus.
She is a 1997 graduate of Saugus High School and graduated from Whittier College in 2001 after majoring in English.
The bride-elect earned a teaching credential at California State University, Northridge and currently teaches English at Rio Norte Junior High School in Valencia.
The groom-elect is the son of Stephen and Francine Davis of Sun Valley.
He is the brother of Tiffany Davis of Sun Valley and Matthew Davis and Kristi Davis of Newhall.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Village Christian School and earned a B.A. in Business from Master's College in 2009.
He currently works at Burbank City Federal Credit Union.
The couple plan to wed Jan. 2, 2010, at the Church of the Canyons and honeymoon in San Diego. They will make their home in Valencia.
