The bride-elect is the sister of Matthew Bates of Camarillo and the granddaughter of Helen Bates of Holly, Mich.
She is a 2004 graduate of Canyon High School and lettered in basketball and tennis.
The bride-elect was also a 2004 Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation Silver Rose Debutante.
She graduated from California Lutheran University in 2008 with dual degrees in finance and international relations. In addition, she lettered in basketball each year and played in the NCAA Division III playoffs in two consecutive seasons.
The groom-elect is the son of Gregory and Donna Loutsios of Chatsworth and the grandson of Vera McPherson of Presque Isle, Maine.
He is a 2006 graduate of Bishop Alemany High School and a 2009 graduate of California Luthern University with a degree in liberal studies.
The groom-elect is currenting pursuing a Masters degree in special education at California Luthern University.
The couple plan to wed in January 2010 and will make their home in Cleveland, Ohio.
