Jonathan Feenny of Reseda was arrested Saturday in connection with the theft of metal pieces from a Newhall metal yard, according to a sheriff's official.

Lt. Tom Bryski of the SCV Sheriff's Station said around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feenny, 45, allegedly stole metal pieces from a business near The Old Road and Weldon Canyon Road in Newhall. After loading his truck with the goods, the man drove to a San Fernando Valley recycling shop to collect money for the pieces.

When the owner of the Newhall metal yard realized his metal was missing, he visited the San Fernando Valley recycling shop, where he saw his metal pieces in the suspect's truck.

Feenny has been charged with grand theft.
