Sulpizio a ‘rabid Democrat’

Patricia Sulpizio’s letter of Aug. 29 (“Dean on authoritarians”), reviewing John Dean’s visit to Santa Clarita proves only one thing: She is a rabid Democrat.

First, we don’t know if her account of Dean’s statements is accurate.

We are asked to accept the word of one rabid Democrat with respect to what another Republican-hater said while he is trying to sell his book.

Then we are asked to accept her assertion that Dean is some sort of expert on the “psychological research on the authoritarian personality and those who follow them.” Considering the sources, it comes as no surprise the Republicans are the really bad guys and Democrats are “thoughtful, introspective, independent types who make their own decisions on issues and who to follow.”

You almost think Dean was speaking and trying to sell his book to local Democrats. Oh, he was!

Still, Sulpuzio’s letter has a touch of hilarity to it as almost every undesirable characteristic which Dean attributes to Republicans describes Obama: a dominating male who bullies, is vengeful, mean-spirited, desires personal power, creates false images to sell himself, is dishonest, and lies to win.

He is amoral and not necessarily religious and delights in the pleasures of life.

He is prejudiced against women: Look how he tried to destroy Hilary, refused to select her as vice president (giving the job to an incompetent), and then appointed her Secretary of State, without a voice in foreign affairs.

A fear-monger, he based his programs for the stimulus package on pure fear.

Editor’s note: Suplizio’s letter was an accurate account of the event and topics discussed.
