Marks of the mark

Dirk Marks' rather amusing double-speak in his "Noltemeyer inaccurate" letter to the editor (The Signal, Aug. 20) first states that I was inaccurate because the Castaic Lake Water Agency did not file the lawsuit to overturn the National Marine Fisheries Service's biological opinion.

Then he goes on to say that 27 public agencies of the State Water Contractors filed the litigation.

Castaic Lake Water Agency is one of the 27 public agencies that filed the litigation.

While he states that my commentary, "Of fish and lawsuits" (The Signal, Aug. 13), contained several inaccuracies, he never cites another.

Perhaps he could be so kind as to explain what they were so we can continue what I am sure will be a long and spirited exchange regarding the needs of fish, crops and people.
