Panorama City, Calif. - International salsa star Liz Lira and flamenco guitarist Jose Garcia will join the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce for its 13th Annual "Latino Expo" on Saturday, Sept. 12.

"We have an exciting line up of world-renowned entertainment and the best local businesses," said Chamber CEO Nancy Hoffman Vanyek. "There is truly something for everyone at the expo with exhibitors representing industries from retail to finance."

Lira, known as the rose of salsa, was introduced to the L.A. salsa scene in 2001 and continues to delight audiences with her trademark style of dance. She calls her signature movement a fusion of graceful motion and explosive energy.

Garcia is a well-known local performer, recognized as a top flamenco musician and Spanish guitarist.

The entertainers will be joined by as many as 40 exhibits from local businesses.

"This family-friendly event is a wonderful opportunity to find out what goods and services our local businesses have to offer," Hoffman Vanyek said.

The 2009 Latino Expo is free to the public and will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Panorama Mall, 8401 Van Nuys Blvd., Panorama City.
