The sweet taste of success was short-lived for two Newhall residents who allegedly snatched the tip jar
from a local ice cream shop.

Damone Gray II, 20, and Lacey Headley-Collier, 20, were arrested Friday night shortly after stealing the
tip jar from the Cold Stone Creamery in the Pavilions shopping center at the intersection of Magic Mountain
and McBean parkways, according to a Sheriff's report.

There was $14.88 in the jar.

Gray reportedly went in first, making loud noises to divert attention, while Headley-Collier went in, grabbed the tip jar and both ran out.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call about the robbery, and a sergeant reportedly spotted the pair near Town Center Drive, where they were arrested.

Gray and Headley-Collier were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on felony charges of
burglary and criminal conspiracy.

They are being held in lieu of $20,000 bail each.

Gray is at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility and Headley-Collier is being held at the Santa Clarita
Valley Sheriff's Station.
