Lies during town hall

I listened to most of Congressman McKeon's recent tele-town hall meeting.

While he and his guest (Congressman Price, R-Ga.) did make some reasonable arguments (which I disagree with), two inexcusable statements were made.

Price reasoned that President Obama must be in favor of providing illegal aliens with health care since he hadn't spoken out against it.

The second bit of twisted logic involved the elimination of Tri-Care (a health care program for the military) and putting those receiving Tri-Care into Medicare.

Even though the representatives stated such a proposal wasn't in any of the bills being considered, they speculated that it was likely to happen.

These are dishonest statements. I expect better from my representative.

If you want to argue about the place of government in our lives, fine, let's have that argument.

Can we do so without the lies?
