The Signal, SCVTV team to present Foothill Football Game of the Week

Combined with The-Signal's new Pigskin Pick'em Football Contest

The Signal and SCVTV have partnered to present video and audio coverage of the Foothill Football Game of the Week to the largest combined multimedia audience in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Announced by Dave Caldwell and Tony Moskal, online and on-demand playback will be hosted at and on all three SCVTV channels -- Time Warner Cable Channel 20, AT&T U-verse 99 and the homepage stream.

There will be as many as 12 Games of the Week and three playoff games, climaxing in the season-ending CIF championship game on Friday, Dec. 11.

Here's the Foothill Football Game of the Week TV playback schedule:
Friday: 11 p.m.
Saturday: 6 p.m.
Sunday: 2 p.m.
Monday: 3 p.m.
Tuesday: 11 a.m.
Wednesday: 9 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m.

The Signal's Pigskin Pick'Em Football Contest
The Signal/SCVTV Foothill Football Game of the Week is tied in with The Signal's Pigskin Pick'Em Football Contest, which starts today and ends on Super Bowl Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010.

You can play against your friends, or - if you're really good - take on Joey Gulino, Signal Sports Writer.

Log on each week to the Pigskin Pick'em Web site and pick your winning teams. Registration is free.

The Foothill League high school teams are featured in one contest.

NFL pro teams get the spotlight in the other contest.

Winners in both categories will receive valuable prizes to be unveiled soon.

The seasonal timeline:
Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 - local contest begins (must be 13 or older to play)
Thursday, Sept. 10 - national contest begins (must be 18 or older to play)
Sunday, Nov. 15 - local contest ends (11 weeks)
Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 - national regular season ends (17 weeks)
Super Bowl Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 - national contest ends (21 weeks)
