Decoro could save lives

I submitted a letter to the editor at The Signal which was published on Thursday, Aug. 27, "Decoro makes patience a virtue."

Letters of all kinds were submitted and published in the Signal about the new traffic pattern on Decoro Drive.

My letter seemed to be the only positive one published.

I can understand the motorist frustration about the bike lane and Ralphs exit and entrance dilemma, which is well-taken concern.
Let us all write or petition the Traffic Department to remedy this situation.

The theme of the new traffic pattern seems to be me, me, me.

Has anyone taken into consideration the safety factor of the right-hand turn lane and the sensible speed of the traffic?

It's a scary experience when a tailgater comes within inches of your car when you are driving at the posted speed limit and they are trying to make you go faster, or when a tailgater shows their impatience and agitation by blasting their horn and flipping you off when you are trying to make a right hand turn without the right turn arrow.

Horn-blasting and flip-offs I can handle, but when someone puts my life in jeopardy, I go for the safety patterns first.
If this new traffic pattern can save one life, it is worth the inconvenience.
