Parents with students at Wiley Canyon Elementary School and Rancho Pico Junior High School who live in the Calgrove/Hidden Valley area of Newhall are being invited to an informational meeting on proposed junior high and high school boundary adjustments scheduled to take effect in August 2010.

The meeting is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, in the multipurpose room at Placerita Junior High School.

The meeting will cover boundary adjustments which will be presented to the Hart District Governing Board for approval in September and the impact of alternative proposals suggested by parents who attended the district's first informational meeting in June.

Boundary adjustments are necessary to relieve overcrowding at West Ranch High School while making better use of underutilized facilities at Placerita Junior High and Hart High School.

The Calgrove/Hidden Valley area was part of the Placerita/Hart attendance area before the opening of Rancho Pico and West Ranch.
