The Santa Clarita Running Club will host their "Inaugural Monster Dash 5K race/walk and Kids K" this Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31.

The event will take place entirely on the Lombardi Ranch, climbing up Dead Man's Hill then running down the pumpkin patch, the train maze and through Scarecrow Alley.

Participants will be encouraged to dress in costume, and directly following the race, families will enjoy the Lombardi Ranch petting zoo, wagon rides, face painting and much more.

A charitable event, the race will benefit the City of Hope. The 5K will be limited to 500 participants due to parking restrictions and carpooling is recommended.

All Kids K participants will receive finishing medals and all 5K participants will receive a technical shirt.

Additionally, all age group winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) will receive one-of-a-kind tombstone medals in keeping with the Halloween theme.
