School buses involved in 2 collisions

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, a Santa Clarita transit bus collided with a William S. Hart Union High School District school bus on Newhall Avenue in Newhall, according to the California Highway Patrol. There were 30 children on the school bus at the time of the traffic collision.
Officers said both busses had damage to their side-view mirrors, yet no one suffered any injuries.
In another, unrelated incident, the CHP reported another school bus collision with five students on board, shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
According to officers at the scene, the collision was minor, and there were no injuries.
