The California Highway Patrol swore in the largest graduating class in its history during a ceremony in West Sacramento on Friday, deeming 183 new officers ready to hit the highways.

Of the graduates, five will be headed to the local Newhall station: Andrew Furman, Glenn Chase, Eulogio Ceja, Tyler J. Loveless and Bobby-Scott C. Perigo.

They will report to duty within 10 days, officials said.
