Registration is now open for the city of Santa Clarita's three multi-day themed excursions to exciting locations across the country -- San Antonio Holiday, Gardens & Mansions featuring New Orleans and Cajun Country, and Oregon Trails.

All excursions are rich in American history and include round trip airfare, accommodation at first-class hotels, admission and sightseeing costs, and select meals.

The San Antonio Holiday excursion, taking place Dec. 1-6, 2009, is a 6-day, 5-night trip including tours of San Antonio, Austin and Fredericksburg, Texas. Some excursion highlights include a Riverwalk Cruise, visits to the Alamo, LBJ Library and University of Texas, and the spectacular Fiesta de Luminarias. The cost for the excursion is $1,699 per person double occupancy and $2,249 per person single occupancy.

The Gardens & Mansions featuring New Orleans and Cajun Country excursion will be held March 21-27, 2010. Featured attractions on the 7-day, 6-night getaway include a Tabasco Factory tour and trips to the famous French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Pirates Alley, historic Natchez Antebellum Mansions, the Bellingrath Gardens and Home, and more. The excursion is $1,649 per person double occupancy and $2,149 per person single occupancy.

The Oregon Trails excursion June 10-15, 2010 will feature an exploration of Portland, also known as the "City of Roses," and surrounding areas. The 6-day, 5-night getaway will include a trip to Mount St. Helens Volcanic National Park, a Sternwheeler Columbia George cruise, Tillamook Cheese Factory Tour, and the beautiful Portland Rose Festival and Parade. The cost is $1,599 per person double occupancy and $2,149 per person single occupancy.

"The city's multi-day excursions are a great way for residents to enjoy ‘getaways' to exciting locations rich in American history without the hassle of organizing an itinerary and making hotel and airfare arrangements," Mayor Frank Ferry said. "With three outstanding excursions to locations rich in history and excitement, the excursions are sure to offer something for everyone to enjoy."
