‘Gore-istas’ still hysterical

In the July 21 edition of The Signal, Dan Glidden wrote a letter ("Save our smog?") disputing my earlier letter ("Climate change hysteria") on climate change legislation.

What complete drivel, even using the Gore mantra: "There is no way to debate around (global warming)."

Of course there is.

Thirty-three thousand scientists who specialize in climate matters signed a petition stating there's no actual "science" involved in this preposterous religion of the Gore-istas.

The climate "chicken littles" would like the debate to be over so they don't have to deal with any "inconvenient truths," such as those I wrote in my original letter.

As a matter of fact, I see Glidden didn't even bother to address a single one of the facts in my letter.

He simply wrote an emotional diatribe without one scintilla of science at all.

Answer this: If this climate change is man made, why are the ice caps on Mars also melting? Hmm.

This line was terrific: "A volcano does not have the capacity to think about what it is doing." Wow. Profound.

The climate's going to change no matter what we do or don't do; that's just a fact in such a complex and dynamic ecosystem.

I, for one, am not willing to sacrifice all the benefits of living in such a technologically advanced era, go back to living like a cave man and bankrupt our economy in a futile attempt to control something that's too big to be significantly affected by mankind one way or the other.
