A non-partisan community educational health forum and discussion dinner will feature doctors and local health care officials who will answer questions regarding the state and federal healthcare reform proposals tonight at 7 p.m. at Vincenzo's Pizza Parlor, 24504 1/2 Lyons Avenue behind the Shell Gas Station.

An optional meal will be provided, featuring SCV's best handmade pizza with large salads, chicken wings, spaghetti and more. The food is inexpensive but highly recommended.

We will be taking the mystery out of single-payer coverage, the Mark Leno bill, universal health care, the public health care option, and John Conyers' proposal while discussing tactics on how to keep medical coverage the same.

All questions will be pre-written by the audience members and answered by informed medical crew. All questions will be answered.

We will hopefully take the myths out of the presumed healthcare debate. Seniors and young people are highly welcomed and encouraged to come.

There will be videos and handouts as well as a raffle to win special prizes.

Scheduled speakers include Don Schroeder, Ph.D USC Journalism Dept; Matt Hendrickson, MD, PHNP; William "Bill" Honigman, MD, PDA; and E. Richard Brown PhD, UCLA Health Policy Research.

State Senator George Runner's office may also send a speaker.
