Hart High School’s cheerleaders will host the school’s annual Spirit Day on Aug. 8 for aspiring cheerleaders ages 5 to 12.

Participants will take part in a day of fundamental cheer training led by Hart cheerleaders. The day ends with a 1:30 p.m. show for parents and friends.

The Spirit Day participants will be invited to cheer when Hart’s football team takes on Palmdale High School at College of the Canyons on Aug. 11.

“What makes our day special is that the girls are invited back to cheer at a Hart football at College of the Canyons,” said Emily Chiominto of the Hart Cheer Spirit Club.

“The Spirit Day girls are thrilled to go on to the field and cheer for a real football game,” Chiominto said.

Campers will also leave the camp with a T-shirt and picture commemorating the day.

Hart cheerleaders have hosted the training day for more than 19 years.
