United Methodist hosts spring musical Sunday
On Sunday at 9:30 a.m., the Good News Gang Children's Choir of Santa Clarita United Methodist Church will perform a musical called, "Are we there yet?" The musical will tell the story of Moses in a whole new way. Santa Clarita United Methodist Church is located at 26640 Bouquet Canyon Road in Valencia.

Naz's sermon topic: 'Trust and Obey'
On Sunday, Pastor Greg Garman of the Newhall Church of the Nazarene will continue his series "Living in The Light" and will deliver the message, "Trust and Obey." Garman will present his message during the
9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services. Nursery services, as well as Sunday school, will be available at both hours. The church is located at 23857 The Old Road, off Calgrove Boulevard in Newhall.

Anger management workshop offered
Starting June 11, there will be a six-week class for men and women in how to deal with anger. The workshops will be separate for men and women. The classes will meet on Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in rooms D222 and D223. No sign-up is needed; just show up. Acclaimed pianist to perform May 31
Norman Krieger, an acclaimed pianist, will give a private recital on May 31 as part of Congregation Beth Shalom's Distinguished Performances Series.

The recital is a VIP Patron event and will include a gala reception with the artist from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a performance from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the special education programs for Congregation Beth Shalom's religious school.

The performance, which will take place at Krieger's private residence in Valencia, will consist of two Scarlatti sonatas, Beethoven's Temp-est Sonata, a set of Chopin, including the three Preludes, and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Guests will also receive an autographed copy of Krieger's CD, Brahms Piano Concerto Number One.

The reception and performance are strictly limited to 80 patrons.

Tickets are $120, which includes the reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres. For more information, call Mary at (661) 254-2411.
