Deputies arrested three men early Saturday after they allegedly smashed driver-side windows and mirrors of nearly 30 parked cars in Castaic.

“Apparently one was driving and the other two passed around a baseball bat, and they were trying to hit some driver’s side mirrors,” said Lt. Mark Hershey of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

During the early morning hours deputies received calls about the vandalism. They spotted the car about 3:15 a.m. and arrested its occupants.

The three men damaged 28 cars, mostly driver-side windows, on roads including Gibralter Lane, Cambridge Avenue and Desert Rose Drive, Hershey said.

The men were all residents of Castaic. They were identified as Christopher Miller, 19, Alex Onate, 20, and Nicholas Connell, 20. They were arrested for investigation of felony vandalism.
