The unemployment rate for the city of Santa Clarita stands at 3.5 percent, a 0.2 point increase from February's 3.3 percent.

Numbers from the department, which were released Friday, show that Santa Clarita has a total labor force of 92,300 with 89,100 of them employed.

March's total unemployment is 3,200, while February's unemployment was at 3,000, according to the department.
