Caterers accused of SCV turf fight

A territorial dispute in Valencia between two rival catering trucks may have become violent at the end of lunchtime Thursday, when one driver allegedly tried to serve the other a dish of piping-hot pain, a sheriff’s sergeant said.

About 1:45 p.m., deputies were called to the turf in question: a parking lot at the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Valencia Boulevard.

“A couple of vendors had a dispute over territory,” said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Allen. “One’s claiming the other one came at him with a metal pipe, but nobody was hurt.”

At this point, he said, it’s just one caterer’s word against the other’s. No one was arrested.
