Liberals don't get it

In response to Dick Ramirez' "Not the way to go" and Steven Brooks' "California crisis solvable" letters to the editor (Opinion, June 19), it seems that liberals have all the answers to our complex issues.

Again, all we have to do is to levy more taxes to cover the inept handling of our state funds by the liberal wastrels in Sacramento.

We have had a number of years of liberal leadership, if it can be called that. This has been marked with spending that has all the earmarks of a drunken sailor.

Unions have grown to a ruinous size. Ridiculous programs have been implemented costing millions in waste.

All this done in the name of pandering to the organizations that they believe will insulate their re-election in the future.

Liberals have a basic misunderstanding of how things work. They have no ability to look into the future and see the destruction that their policies will have, and this is despite centuries of history that points out time and again what will work and what won't.

Our Founding Fathers called upon this history to point the way to a better form of government and they did an excellent job. We are the inheritors of that government and for some reason we can't seem to stay on track.

Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity was a person who does the same thing again and again and expects a different result.

This is the manner of today's liberals. They keep doing things that have failed many times in the past but believe that this time it will be a success.

It is the worst kind of insanity.

We are all affected by it and end up a little crazy ourselves wondering how they can think the way that they do.
