Detectives are trying to hunt down a woman who allegedly entered a Stevenson Ranch bank Monday afternoon, implied someone was going to kill her and demanded money from a teller, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Robbery and Assault team are investigating the incident, which took place on the 25800 block of The Old Road.

The teller walked away from his window and the woman left without obtaining anything, according to a Sheriff’s Station press release.

Deputies responded to the incident in search of the woman, but she was not found.

The woman is not yet considered a suspect and is being sought for questioning, according to the release. Detectives are trying to determine if the woman was attempting to rob the bank of if someone else was forcing her to act, the release said.

Detectives encourage the woman — described as being in her 30s, 5-feet 6-inches tall, with blonde hair and an estimated 150 pounds — to contact them. The woman was wearing a black T-shirt with a white graphic logo, the release said.

She was also wearing dark sunglasses and carrying a dark purse.

Sheriff’s officials ask anyone with information regarding the incident or the described woman’s whereabouts to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121.
