It is fair to say that I was extremely disappointed in the results of the recent local election to fill two empty seats on the Santa Clarita City Council.

The residents of this valley had the opportunity to vote for a woman who has consistently shown her integrity, enthusiasm, and dedication in her position as one of the city's planning commissioners - Diane Trautman.

She didn't win, but we are the losers.
