Lutness' liberal reflexes

The June 6 Opinion column by Carole Lutness ("Corporations, super-wealthy must pay their fair share") is simply more of the usual liberal drivel bemoaning the failure of proposals to raise taxes.

The claim that corporations are somehow undertaxed is absolutely ludicrous in the state with the highest corporate tax rate in the country, which drives businesses out of the state and further exacerbates unemployment, cost of living and tax revenues to the state.

As jobs disappear, so does the income they provide to the workers as well as the tax revenues on those wages that accrue to the state.

What California should do is lower the corporate tax rate, which would lure businesses back to "Commiefornia," increasing employment and increasing state revenues.

Both Kennedy and Reagan slashed Draconian tax rates and in both cases government revenues soared.

But like most liberal drones, Lutness never saw a tax increase she didn't love.

It's simply a reflex of liberalism, like how your leg jumps when your knee is tapped by the doctor with one of those little rubber hammers.
