It's no secret that Santa Clarita goes above and beyond to provide residents with quality, state-of-the-art recreational facilities and opportunities.

Whether it's the implementation of new facilities like the wildly popular city Skate Park or pet-friendly Central Bark, or programs like the Aquatics Center's dive-in movies and an extensive list of swim opportunities, Santa Clarita residents enjoy a host of activities and amenities readily available outside their front door.

To ensure residents can get the most out of city facilities, Santa Clarita is offering Summer Fun Passes which grant unlimited access to the city's Sports Complex Aquatic Center and gymnasium facilities.

While many of the city's facilities are free and open to the public, there is a nominal fee charged for some uses.

This includes the Aquatic Center, with its three swimming pools; a 25-meter dive pool, an Olympic-sized pool and the very popular family recreation pool with a two-story red slide.

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Santa Clarita residents can enjoy a host of varying recreation activities set to please the whole family.

Summer Fun Pass holders can enjoy weekend activities with the entire family and parents won't hear kids utter those inevitable summer words: "I'm bored!"

The pass - $65 for kids and $120 for adults - not only grant community members access to daily activities throughout the summer, but it also ensures they are getting the most out of all City Sports Complex facilities.

With the Santa Clarita Summer Fun Pass, community members of all ages can enjoy basketball, volleyball, swimming and much more at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex.

Gone are the days when teenagers holed up in their rooms while playing video games.

With the pass, youth can meet up with old friends - and new ones - and hang out with other community kids while playing sports and interactive Wii games.

The Summer Fun Pass isn't only for kids, though. With the pass, Santa Clarita adults can stay active with a nearly endless combination of fitness routine options.

Enjoy running, walking, low-impact swimming or high-intensity sports like basketball and volleyball.

With families across the country cutting back on their personal budgets, the Summer Fun Pass is an economical and local alternative to costly gym memberships.

In addition to providing residents with a host of city activities and facilities, the pass has perks for community members of all ages.

As a bonus, community members who purchase a Summer Fun Pass are granted access to recreational swimming at all neighborhood city pool locations, where you can escape the summer heat, teach little ones to swim or simply enjoy the sunny days.

Pass-holders will also enjoy free admission to all city-sponsored Dive-In Movies, where guests can watch films on a big-screen while floating comfortably in a city pool, or lounging on the deck at the Aquatic Center, throughout the entire summer.

Summer Fun Passes are available now at the registration office inside the Aquatic Center, 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita.

For more information, call the city's Recreation office at (661) 250-3700.

Don't miss out on the chance to experience everything the Santa Clarita Sports Complex has to offer - and banish the "I'm bored" phrases all summer long.
