Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men and placed five children in protective custody following a drug raid in Saugus earlier this week, authorities said.

The suspects, whose names were not released, had 1/2 pound of cocaine and 1 pound of marijuana at a grow operation in a home in the 27000 block of Santa Clarita Road when it was raided Monday night, said Sgt. Darren Harris, a spokesman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

One of the suspects was on probation for a narcotics conviction and the other was wanted on suspicion of drug dealing.
Harris said the investigation was still ongoing.
