The jury in the Esperanza Castro murder trial continued its deliberations on Thursday but did not reach a verdict.

Deliberations will continue Friday in Dept. J of the San Fernando Superior Court.

Attorneys on both sides are on call and the court will convene once the jury has come to a decision.

If the final decision is not unanimous, the jury will be considered hung and Esperanza Castro may be subject to a new murder trial.

Esperanza Castro was accused of killing her husband, Ramon Castro, on March 22, 2006. Ramon Castro's body was found the next day on a Highway 14 overpass on Sierra Highway.
