“A Walk in the Park.” Six Flags Friends is pleased to host the second annual “A Walk In The Park” event at Six Flags Magic Mountain. By participating in “A Walk In The Park,” you’ll be joining thousands of Six Flags guests from across the United States who will be walking for the same purpose—to find cures for childhood cancers. Come take a “Walk In The Park” to help us find cures for pediatric cancer. Then spend the rest of the day having more fun at Six Flags. Santa Clarita Ballet Company offers two programs at 2 p.m. and  7 p.m. June 20 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons in Valencia. In act one,”The Tales of Beatrix Potter” will be performed.  In act two, the Santa Clarita Ballet Company will present “Dvorak’s Serenade” and “G-Song.”  Info and tickets,  (661) 251-0366.

June 27
The Repertory East Playhouse will host its largest benefit of the year, Summer Evening with the REP: An Affair to Remember, on Saturday June 27, 6:30p.m. reception, 8 p.m. special performance. Tickets are $25 per person and include: BBQ style catering by RSVP Catering, wine bar, live entertainment, silent auction and dancing. Casual attire. July 4
Fourth of July activities in the SCV.  Parade: 9 a.m. Newhall. Main Street to Lyons to Orchard Village to Darby. Fireworks at the mall 9:15 p.m.

A Fourth of July celebration will be held at 2 p.m.  at VFW Post 6885 on 16208 Sierra Highway in Canyon Country. BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade side  dishes and desert. It is a family event and current enlisted military personnel eat free all day. Live entertainment 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and 8 p.m. to  midnight. Info:
