A Hart High School graduate was killed late Tuesday evening after his vehicle struck a tree and flipped over in Castaic.

James Allan Neill, 23, was driving a late model Honda Civic on Hasley Canyon Road near Trollers Lane at approximately 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday when he lost control. The California Highway Patrol and County Fire Department responded to the collision.

"When we arrived on scene, we discovered a solo vehicle rollover, with a single victim inside," said CHP Sgt. Ben Dibene.

Neill was pronounced dead at the scene, according to county Coroner's Investigator Jerry McKibben.

No further information was released by officials, and funeral arrangements have not been made.
