The Community Arts Partnership program, dubbed "CAP," links California Institute of the Arts with communities throughout Los Angeles County, offers free after-school and school-based arts programs for youth, such as Sunday's CAP concert at CalArts.
The program allows CalArts students the chance to teach under the mentorship of CalArts faculty.
The CAP classes have doubled their enrollment - some have even tripled - during the past year, CalArts officials said Sunday.
A CAP summer arts program is offered this year. Deadline for application is June 2.
