Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley will host the inaugural High-Heel-a-thon: To Stomp Out Domestic Violence. The 150-yard walk will be held 9 a.m. Sunday, May 31. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley. Begins at Hart Park and ends at the Walnut Street yellow Victorian center. Once participants cross the finish line, they will receive a gift bag filled with goodies, an embroidered T-shirt and more. Participation fee is only $40. "How the West Was Sung" concert by the Santa Clarita Master Chorale. 8 p.m. Valencia United Methodist Church, 25718 McBean Parkway, Valencia. The Chorale will mark its 10th anniversary concert with songs like "Home on the Range," "Skip to My Lou," and "Shenandoah." The Memorial Garden Tour supports two worthy organizations: Wounded Warrior Project and TAPS (tragedy assistance program for survivors) This is a self-guided tour through various gardens throughout the SCV that accepts free-will donations. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 7. The 38th annual Boys & Girls Club of SCV Benefit Auction will be held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Mann BioMedical Park, 25104 Rye Canyon Loop, Valencia. The Repertory East Playhouse will host its largest benefit of the year, Summer Evening with the REP: An Affair to Remember, on Saturday June 27, at the home of Jill Jackson, formerly of Dessert Alert. 6:30 p.m. reception, 8 p.m. special performance. Tickets are $25 per person and include: barbecue style catering by RSVP Catering, wine bar by Engelman Cellars, live entertainment, silent auction and dancing. Casual attire.
