Valencia seniors find their inner Viking

Some seniors at Valencia High School decided to stage a viking invasion Wednesday, but the William S. Hart Union High School District is warning seniors that senior pranks aren't funny.

A group of seniors hosted a water-balloon fight between two viking-themed boats during second brunch, said Hart district spokeswoman Pat Willett. The Valencia High School mascot is the viking.

School administrators confiscated the water balloons, she said.

While the prank was "fairly harmless," the Hart district is warning students that harmful senior pranks are considered vandalism and cost the district money to cleanup.

"We want them to respect the campus," Willett said.

As high-school graduation ceremonies begin, administrators are advising seniors to think twice about senior pranks.

"We want them to know that we're watching," she said.
