Smyth will highlight the recent purchase of three new compressed natural gas (CNG) cars by Golden West K9 Security from the Galpin Motors Family of Dealerships.
The purchases were made with a tax credit of $4,000 from the federal Qualified Alternative Fuel Motors Tax Credit.
Smyth will introduce his idea on how to expand that credit to the state level.
Also on hand will be representatives from Golden West K9 Security and Galpin Motors.
Smyth will discuss his ideas for allocating AB 118 funds to the state Fueling Alternatives rebate program which has run out of money. The Assemblyman will detail how AB 118 funding was supposed to be for a diverse spectrum of energy efficient vehicles and how that goal is not being met.
