The city of Santa Clarita's Aquatic Center celebrated the beginning of the summer season on Memorial Day with recreational swim from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

More than 260 community kids and adults stopped by the city's Sports Complex to take a dip in the beautiful pools at the Aquatic Center.

Guests who splashed at the center on Memorial Day enjoyed fun in the sun with other local kids, teens and adults. Recreational swimming will also be offered at the Aquatic Center on Saturday, May 30 and Saturday, June 6 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"The Aquatic Center offers a little something for everyone in the summer," said Toi Chisom, Recreation Superintendant for the city. "Residents can enroll in swim lessons, water exercise, aquatic team sport and Dive-In-Movies, and can even reserve birthday parties at the state-of-the-art Aquatic Center."

The summer hours the Aquatic Center are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 12:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.; Wednesday: 11 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Friday: 11:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Saturday: 11:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Sunday: 2:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
