Hurricane Harbor opens Saturday

With 23 slides and attractions, park readies for its 14th summer

Eager fans will blow into Hurricane Harbor for another season of slide-riding, river-wading and funnel-cake gobbling as the popular park wades into its 14th summer season starting Saturday.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will open its flood-gates to popular water park at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Marking the season opener, the tropically-themed park will host the Santa Clarita Valley Appreciation Days benefitting local schools and charities.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Features more than 23 slides and attractions, including the six-story Tornado; two of the tallest enclosed speed slides in Southern California – Black Snake Summit, and the 7,000 square-foot pool for teen and adults, Lizard Lagoon.

“Hurricane Harbor continues to be the perfect summer spot for water lovers of all ages,” said Jay Thomas, Park President of Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor.

Other attractions include Castaway Cove, an exclusive children’s water play kingdom; Shipwreck Shores, which offers water play activities for the entire family; The River Cruise lazy river, Taboo Tower with three different slides, and the Forgotten Sea wave pool.

Hurricane Harbor is open weekends beginning Saturday, daily June 6 to September 7, and then weekends through September 27. The park’s Web site is sixflags.com and phone number is (661) 255-4111.
