First place
My favorite book of all time is "Onion John." In this book, Andy, a local kid who plays baseball, has always wanted to follow his father's dream of becoming an astronaut.
He has this friend, Onion John, who nobody knows. He lives in a tree in the forest, makes wishes with stones and eats onions for dinner every night.
When the townspeople hear about Onion John, they don't like him. They decide to tear down Onion John's house. Now Andy has to stop the townspeople from tearing down his best friend's house.
This is one of my favorite books of all time because Andy learns that friendship is more important than following your parent's dream.

Second place
My favorite book is "Heidi." The author, Johanna Spryi, is such a good writer. "Heidi" is such a great book. It is sad and happy. I love all the characters because I can relate to them so well. Heidi and her grandfather have such love for each other. I love this book because it is such a good story and it can even make you cry if you're really into it. "Heidi" is one of my all-time favorite books. I even read it three times.

Third place
My favorite book is "The Tale of Desperaux" because it is funny, sad, a tad scary, and just makes you want to jump right into the book. An example of this is when Desperaux was born, his ears looked like Dumbo the elephant's. The scary part is coming up next. When the mouse council found out he wasn't scared of cats, or that he would go into a mousetrap just to get the cheese, they sent him to the dungeon to get eaten by the rats. I wish there were a tape recorder in my head so I could listen to the book in my head and so I can't hear the lesson and my teacher. That is why I love "The Tale of Desperaux" so much.

My favorite book is "The Calder Game" by Blue Balliett. It is my favorite book because it's exciting and makes you want to see what happens next. It is about three kids named Calder, Petra and Tommy. In their adventure Calder's dad took him to England for a father-son trip. In England there is a statue by an artist of the name Alexander Calder. On the same night both of them disappear. So Calder's dad calls Petra and Tommy and asks them to come to England to help solve the mystery.

My favorite books are the "Warriors" series because I liked all the action in the book. "Warriors" tells about the life of Rusty and how he became an apprentice, warrior, deputy and leader of Thunder Clan. There are three kinds of series: the regular "Warriors," "Warriors: The New Prophecy," and "Warriors: Power of Three." I enjoyed the "Warrior" series because it can give you a picture in your mind. For example, when Fireheart was becoming clan leader, you can picture him at the Highrock. You can also picture when the clan battles. In conclusion, "Warriors" has a lot of action. That's why the "Warriors" series are my favorite books.

My favorite book is called "Eggs." I like this book because the author shows lots of detail in the person's emotions, like how surprised they were when the police officer found them and took them home. Jerry Spinelli (the author) also writes how scared they were when the train flew by them. There were also very funny parts of the story like when David talked to the face in the tree. That is why my favorite book is "Eggs."

My favorite book is "The Name of this Book is Secret" by Pseudonymous Bosch. "The Name of this Book is Secret" is the most interesting book I've ever read. It's about a boy and a girl called Max-Ernest and Cassandra. They find a million clues about a magician called Pietro Bergamo. They hear a story in his journal about a Golden Lady, aka Ms. Mauvais, and his brother Luciano, aka Dr. L. They kidnap a boy called Benjamin Blake and take him to the Midnight Sun Spa. Cass and Max-Ernest come to the Midnight Sun Spa and have help from Owen. They rescue Benjamin and get home safely. I hope Pseudonymous Bosch makes a third book because I am dying to know what happens.

Out of all the books I've read in my life, my favorite one is "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." This book is my favorite because it is full of action and every time I started reading a different scene, I held my breath. First, Harry Potter comes back to Hogwarts, only to find himself in another adventure. The Triwizard Tournament starts and fake Mad-eye Moody puts Harry's name in the Goblet of Fire. Harry makes it through all three tasks with the help of his friends Ron and Hermione. As Harry grabbed the Triwizard Cup for victory, he ended up in a graveyard and defeated Voldemort once again.

My favorite book is "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Last Straw" because it is funny and a spectacular book about a teenager named Greg Heffley. He goes to high school and has a rough time with it. His brothers Rodrick and Manny really bother him and annoy him, like your mom when she says, "Do something outside!" Greg tries to get a date with a girl, but every time Rowley comes and messes him up in any way possible. In all, this is the best book I've ever read and hope there is a sequel.

I like "The Vile Village" from the "Series of Unfortunate Events." The handy man, Hector, has to take care of three orphans named Violet, Klaus and Sunny. I like this book because they have to solve a riddle while avoiding death. A villain plans to steal their fortune. His name is Count Olaf. Count Olaf murders a man and frames them. The seventh book of "The Series of Unfortunate Events" was really awesome.

My favorite books are Katie Kazoo books. Katie Kazoo is a series of imagination. At first, Katie gets in all this mish-mash, then she wishes she was someone else. She has a lot of adventures. I like it because Nancy Krulik puts a lot of life into these characters. I also like it because Katie is a great girl. I have been reading her books ever since I have been allowed to read. That means I have read almost all of her books. In my opinion, you should read them too.

My spectacular favorite book is "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" because it sucks you into a magical world that you just can't pull away from. It is really fun to read because it is sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes adventurous and sometimes even scary. You can join Harry and his two curious best friends Ron and Hermione in their awesome adventures with a new surprise coming your way. I really think you should read this book, and that is why. I promise that you'll be crawling back for more.
My favorite part is when Harry, Ron and Hermione have to find the right flying key. This magical tale is always a good one no matter how many times you read it.

My favorite book is "More Scary Stories to Chill Your Bones" by Alvin Schwartz. I like this book because it has a number of scary stories that will make you jump, scream, run or faint. There are many other books by Alvin Schwartz.

My favorite book is "Hugo Cabret" because it has good pictures. Hugo lives in a train station and gets a job at a toy store and steals some parts to make a human-sized toy. The boss takes his notebook and says that he is going to burn it. But this girl named Isabelle tells him to meet her at the back wall of a cinema theater and tells him that his notebook is not burned. Then he meets Isabelle's friend Etienne.

My favorite book is "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." It is my favorite book because it is intense and fun to read. Although a lot of people die, it is still a good book. Harry is on another mission. Again, he has to try to destroy Voldemort, but Dumbledore won't help him this time. Harry does destroy Voldemort, but loses some people he knows. If you want to find out more, read my favorite book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." It is the best book ever.
