Santa Clara Valley Bank has hired Janet Olmos as a client service representative at the Valencia branch location.

With more than 25 years banking experience, Olmos brings an extensive background in community banking.

She served in a client-service capacity at the former Valencia Bank and Trust, Union Bank of California and, most recently, at Bank of Santa Clarita prior to joining SCV Bank. Olmos has lived in the community since 1985.

"There's a great group of people here at SCV Bank who I've worked with in the past," Olmos said. "It's like a homecoming and I appreciate the tremendous support I have here."

The bank is pleased to have Olmos on board, a spokesman said.

"We are honored to have such a great banking professional join the SCV Bank family," said Michael D. Hause, bank President and CEO.

SCV Bank deposits grew 20 percent since the beginning of 2009.

"Many banking analysts consider SCV Bank to be ‘super-capitalized,'" Hause said.

At year-end 2008, loans grew 25 percent over the previous year.

The Valencia branch accounts for nearly 30 percent of the bank's $120 million in holdings.
