Move beyond hate

While I usually do not discuss politics, I am moved to write in response to the views of William Creitz in his "Sound familiar?" Letter to the Editor (The Signal, May 8).

Creitz points out 10 similarities of Hitler's control that really can be "familiarized" to every presidential candidate's promises, regardless of their political affiliation.

Every president and candidate has "promised major change, campaigned to people's emotions, pitted groups against one another, been accused of controlling the press and capitalized on national emergencies."

I feel that Creitz's own drawing on the "emotion of people" to find these similarities has no value to a solution. Instead, it just spreads hatred and negativity.

Rather than trying to promote his negativity in something Creitz cannot change, why not release the hate and do what he can to make positive changes where he is able?

Work to move forward and find solutions with what you do have control over.
