The College of the Canyons Foundation will showcase its second edition of the "In Good Taste" series, a cultural exploration of superior dessert wines and the classic sweets that accompany them, on April 18.

Wine lovers attending this event will be mentored in their experience by classically trained chef and wine connoisseur John Bauccio.

Educated at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville, Bauccio has traveled in Spain and France as a buyer for nationally acclaimed Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant in San Francisco's historic Ferry building.

He has established a state-wide reputation for expanding peoples' affinity for wine by exposing them to a wide range of culturally dverse wines. That skill in cultural-diversity will serve as a guide as guests enjoy an array of wines and desserts from around the world.

A 6 p.m. reception of sherry and tapas appetizers prepared by COC's culinary arts students will open the festivities on Friday, April 18. All guests must be at least 21 years old.

Tickets are $85 and must be reserved by Friday. For information or tickets, call (661) 362-3737.
