The Repertory East Playhouse presents the hilarious musical-comedy production "I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE" as part of its 2009 Main Stage season.

"This is an awesome date show!" Artistic Director Ovington Michael Owston said. "Whether you're on your first date, or your hundredth, there's something for every audience member to laugh and think ‘I've been there and done that.'

Off-Broadway's phenomenal longest-running musical celebrates the modern-day suburban mating game. Audiences fill the theatre with laughter as the cast explores the joys of dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives, and in-laws.

"I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE" opens on Friday, May 22, with an Opening Night Gala at 7 p.m. and curtain at 8 p.m. Opening Night Gala is sponsored by Travel Center Santa Clarita with food sponsored by RSVP Catering.

"I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE" will run through June 20. Show times are Friday and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. This show will sell out!

Advanced reservations are highly recommended. Tickets are $19 for Adults and $17 for students and seniors. Group rates are available.  The Repertory East Playhouse is located at 24266 Main Street in Newhall, CA. 91321

The REP will host post show discussions immediately following each Sunday Matinee. Join the cast and crew for an intimate discussion about the process of creating live theatre.

"I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE" has played more than 3,000 performances, surpassing the Broadway runs of such musicals as "My Fair Lady," "Annie," "South Pacific," "Oklahoma!," "Grease," "42nd Street," "Fiddler on the Roof," and "Hello, Dolly."

Additional productions of "I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE" have been mounted in more than 150 cities worldwide including Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, Chicago, London, Tel Aviv, Mexico City, and Barcelona, grossing more than $60 million.

"Send the kids on an overnight play-date and enjoy a romantic evening with the REP," Managing Director Mikee Schwinn suggests.

Director Leslie Berra has assembled a rock star cast including SCV favorites George M. Chavez, Erin Rivlin, Aaron Wong and REP newcomer Kristen Heitman.

The production staff includes Assistant Director Jennie Magon, Vocal Director John Morris, Set Designer Jeff Hyde, Lighting Designer Tim Christianson, Sound Designer Nanook and Stage Manager Lauren Pearsall.
