The Farmers' Market is returning to downtown Newhall Thursday with 20 vendors and live entertainment.

Market Street between Main Street and Walnut Street will be transformed into an open air market with vendors selling organic produce and specialty foods.

"It's springtime and the weather's great," said Alisha Celestine, communication specialist for the city.

"When you get off of work, you can do your weekend shopping at a great farmers market."

Vendors come from throughout Southern California to sell everything "from nuts and olive oils to your typical produce like fresh organic lettuce and tomatoes," Celestine said.

Tresierras Market plans to barbecue, and local bands will provide live entertainment.

"It's going to truly be a lively farmers' market," she said.

The market will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 30.

Previously, the seasonal market was held at an empty parking lot adjacent to the Canyon Theatre Guild on Main Street (formerly San Fernando Road).
