A man accused of impersonating a police officer was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station at 11:40 a.m. on those charges, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Ryan Caskey, 21, was arrested Tuesday morning by United States Marshals with the assistance of Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's deputies and the Los Angeles Police Department at the home of Caskey's parents in Castaic, said Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Dallas police said Caskey brandished a pistol and reportedly kicked in a door in Dallas, Texas as he allegedly assisted an officer responding to a report of a break-in. He told police he was a member of an FBI task force, according to Dallas authorities.

Caskey is still in custody in the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, Bryski said.
