Tuesday is Election Day in Santa Clarita as citizens vote for two of the five candidates running for City Council. Be sure to make plans.

Here's the 411:

* Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

* If you have registered to vote and have not received your sample ballot, go to www.votesantaclarita.com to find your polling place on the precinct map. A sample ballot is not required to be able to vote.

* Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the City Clerk's office on or before Tuesday. If you have not yet mailed your vote-by-mail ballot, you can hand-deliver it on Tuesday at any polling place or to the City Clerk's office at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.

* If you are not listed as a registered voter at your polling place, you may cast a provisional ballot, which will be subject to verification by the City Clerk's office.
