May 19 election

In 2003, the state of California was facing a series of challenges and uprisings that had never been seen before. In 2003, we, Californians, decided that we had enough. We were tired of the political games, the budget deficits, the lies.

So we stood up and took action! We recalled a Governor!

That is a day that I will never forget! We sent such a strong message to our elected officials. However, today, I look at what is happening and I can't help but wonder if it is time to stand up again?!

As most of us know, we are having a special election on May 19th. But did you know that this election will cost the state and counties millions of taxpayer dollars to hold.

And I have to ask, why? Why can't our elected officials just be responsible? Why can't they treat our taxes like it is their own money? If you ask them, they won't have an answer!

So today, I want to ask, is it time to initiate recall movements again? I think so.

But this time, I think Californians need to unite and not only recall the Governor, but it is time to send a message to our legislature as well.

A total of 89 legislators voted in favor of the bill that has called for another waste of millions of dollars so I think that we should recall all 89 of them and replace them with people who care, with people who will represent us and who will respect our hard work and the money we trust them with!

Let's unite once more!
