Ahead of the upcoming SCV high school football season, Saugus nabbed a victory — by winning the 5th annual SCV Burrito Bowl.

The competition involves each school nominating five players from Canyon, Golden Valley, Hart, Saugus, Valencia and West Ranch high schools see which team can down a 4-foot-long burrito the fastest. The team that finishes with the best time wins the $1,000 prize.

Win or lose, the football team and cheerleading squad of every school receive $500 for participating.
